I thought I’d share something I worked on a few weeks ago. My flatmate, Quiterie is a business student, and need a logo for a uni project in which group choose to use her name. The logos her group came up with awful so turned to me to do something over night for her. She wanted thin, curvy type and and coat hanger in the logo. I’m really happy with how this turned out given I only did it in a few hours (most of which I spent looking for the perfect font). It was a great wee exercise to practice logo designing.

What started out as my boyfriend trying to get me send a photo of my butt to him on “the Butt Hotline,” I thought it would be funny to make a fake ad for the Butt Hotline.
It was also an excuse to try out the font family I bought. I probably could of done with experimenting with colour schemes more though, blue and pink is my go to for most things.

I pulled an all nighter last night finishing up my branding for the art shop at my uni. I really like this little illustration I did of the shop. It’s not the best or the neatest but it definitely has something.

I thought some crappy phone photos would really help give a feel for what my sketchbooks really look like and my sheer laziness of not wanting to scan them. I’ve got a screen printing workshop on Tuesday and I haven’t got anything to print yet so I’ve spent all afternoon sketching some ideas. My prompt for the brief was the words “SEE THE END”, I was going to go for a positive spin on the phrase but I thought I would indulge my fascination with skulls and bones. I’ll post my final illustration and screen prints sometime next week.

My class at uni got given the brief to redesign our art school’s shop logo. At first I rolled my eyes and sighed and did some research and asked some questions but when I actually got round developing my logo I actually really liked my idea.
I knew I would end up making my logo in illustrator but I wanted my logo to still convey the feel of the materials and supplies sold by the shop so I played around with different types of paper and ways of cutting out my letters/words.
I’ll be posting my finished logo in the next few days after I’ve spoke to my lecturers and gotten some feedback.

I finally finished my Godzilla illustration which I’m submitting to Hamish Steele’s zine. I didn’t really have as much time as I would of like to have done something better but I like my doodles do why not do that. The bottom two drawings are more dumb doodles from my sketchbook of ideas if I had more time.
